Seth Vincent fresh out of college, embarks on his life long dream to work for the US Forest Service. He applies for a seasonal job in Timber Management on the White Mountain National Forest. On his first day of work, his dream is altered. He is railroaded into a job in Law Enforcement. The Law Enforcement program is brand new on the Forest. Retired FBI Special Agent, Joe Mack, has just started to build the program.
Seth and Joe become good friends and work numerous cases together during this first season. One of their first tasks, deal with the Hippie Communes that are springing up on the Forest.
Seth is a Deputy Sheriff in the County just to the south of the National Forest. If his bosses at the Forest Service find out about his second job, he will have to chose between his Sheriff's position and his dream job with Forest Service.
Seth works his way through this first season. Federal Law Enforcement Officer by day and Deputy Sheriff nights and on his days off. All the while, pursuing the coveted full time job with the Forest Service.
